About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) and Government Response document for solicitation 36C25026B0044, Project Number 539-25-508, titled "Correct Imaging Tower Deficiencies" at the VAMC Cincinnati located at 3200 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220-2213. The RFI was issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network 10 Contracting Office, with Patrice Richardson-Scott serving as the Contracting Officer. The contractor submitting questions is IMS, located at 1920 20th Avenue North, Escanaba, Michigan 49829.

The RFI contains eight contractor inquiries with corresponding government responses addressing project clarifications. Key responses include: no laydown or staging area will be provided by the government; Bid Item #2 Survey requirement is disregarded; a QC Manager position with appropriate documented experience (not necessarily a graduate engineer, architect, or construction manager) is acceptable and must be separate from the superintendent; no asbestos is expected due to the roof's age; core samples for existing roof conditions are the contractor's responsibility; door frame replacement is not required, only lead-lined door replacement for room A2016; and reference documents PG18-4 and PG18-14 are available in the VA TIL (Technical Information Library) at https://vatilms.va.gov/vatilms/landing-page. The government also committed to attaching a complete Wage Determination document in an RFI amendment. The response was prepared by Nathan Compton.
