6. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
A. Site Inspections by the Equipment Vendor
Pre-Proposal Site Inspection: It is recommended that the Equipment Vendor shall inspect areas of buildings in which the equipment will be installed and the areas which are anticipated routes of access, noting the existing condition and types of doors, walls, and other surfaces that could pose an obstruction to delivery of the equipment throughout affected areas of buildings and noting any discrepancies between drawings and existing conditions at site.
Pre-Delivery Site Inspection: Thirty days before expected delivery date, the Equipment Vendor, Contractor and their mechanical and plumbing subcontractors, and Government must make a thorough re-survey of the areas of buildings involved to view the spaces that will receive the equipment, which is being built out by Others (the Contractor) and view the conditions under which the equipment will be installed (by Others). The Equipment Vendor shall note conditions of flooring, doors, walls, utility connections, clearances, laydown areas, and interferences as compared with conditions of same as noted herein and during the Pre-Proposal Site Inspection.
B. Physical Data
Data and information furnished or referred to herein is for the Equipment Vendor's information. The Government shall not be responsible for any interpretation of or conclusion drawn from the data or information by the Equipment Vendor. The Government does not guarantee that other materials will not be encountered nor that proportions, conditions or character of several materials will not vary from those indicated by explorations. Bidders are expected to examine site and, after investigation, decide for themselves character of materials and make their bids accordingly.
C. Operations and Storage Areas The VA cannot take early delivery or store the equipment because there is not adequate storage space. After award, the successful Equipment Vendor must coordinate with the Contractor for specific delivery times and locations within the timeframe listed above to ensure the Contractor and VA are ready to receive the equipment before it is delivered. The Contractor’s contact information will be provided to the successful Equipment Vendor after award.
Offloading of delivery vehicles must be performed immediately upon the vehicle parking at the loading dock, and the vehicle must be moved offsite immediately after offloading. Execute work to interfere as little as possible with normal functioning of Medical Center as a whole, including operations of utility services, fire protection systems and any existing equipment, and with work being done by others. The Equipment Vendor shall confine all operations (including storage of materials) on Government premises to areas authorized or approved by the COR.
