RFI Responses:
1. In Room LL215, the existing and new pump utilize a 30A circuit but the temporary requires 70A. This will be accounted for, however, the other two (2) are listed as existing 70A circuits as are the temp units. Can you confirm whether or not we have to provide a breaker/new circuit for the temp units or can we utilize the existing circuit power where applicable.
Answer: Per the construction documents, provide new breakers for each temporary pump and each new ump to be installed.
Given the phasing of this project, the temporary pumps and the new pumps to be installed must be on separate circuits. Circuit breakers must be coordinated with the pumps to be utilized and thus must be coordinated with he pumps submitted during the submittal process.
2. What should be included to account for security clearance in the restricted area? Will the VA require badging prior to starting work or will we require someone from the hospital staff to chaperone us in the restricted area? Will there be a daily required check-in with the VA police?
Answer: All Contractor require badging.
3.
A. Is there a shutdown procedure in place for the VA hospital when installing the breakers for the temporary units?
Answer: Yes
B. What is the shutdown procedure if required?
Answer: Two Weeks
C. Are after hours or weekends required to do this work?
Answer: After Hours or weekends
