Provide answers to RFI questions and revisions to Drawings relating to mechanical systems, including duct static pressure sensors, concrete equipment pads/supports, OA dampers, and AHU capacities.

THE FOLLOWING ANSWERS TO REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION QUESTIONS ARE

HEREBY PROVIDED TO CLARIFY, UPDATE, REVISE, OR CORRECT CONTRACT

SPECIFICATIONS AND/OR DRAWINGS.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. RFI #1 Question: On the drawings M702, M703 and M704, the AHU’s are shown having a duct static pressure sensor. The note next to them states “locate as shown on plans” but there doesn’t seems to be a location shown on the plans that I can see. Where are these to be located?

Answer 1: See attached addendum for clarification.

2. RFI #2 Question: On the drawings M703 and M704, these AHU’s are shown having a building differential static pressure sensor. The high-pressure reference states “Reference to room #” but there isn’t a location shown on the plans where the location is to reference. Where are these references to be located?

Answer 2: See attached addendum for clarification.

3. RFI #3 Question: In building 5 and 14 attics duct insulation. Would this call for

- flexible ductwrap insulation with FSK foil backing?

- Ridged board insulation with ASJ paper jacket?

- Ridged board FSK foil jacket?

Answer 3: Rigid board with ASJ per 23 07 11 (3.2)(A)(3).

4. RFI #4 Question: On the mechanical detail for building 5 and 14 note 7 says to put the unit on 6" rails will this leave enough room for the traps and drains? Also it not reflected in the total height of the unit.

Answer 4: See attached addendum for clarification.

5. RFI #5 Question: Building 83 ahu note 4 says to suspend from structure or a stand to keep 36" above floor but also has different a note to put on rails on M505?

Answer 5: The 6” base rail referenced on M505is for unit structural rigidity.
