About this file

This document contains a pre-solicitation notice for a federal contract opportunity to provide corrective plumbing, piping, and fixture replacement services at three campus facilities of the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. The solicitation will be set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and seeks a contractor with healthcare construction experience in similarly sized alteration, repair, and renovation projects exceeding $5 million over the past five years. Interested offerors must demonstrate experience coordinating multiple trades in a hospital environment while maintaining normal business operations. The awarded firm will perform all required labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to complete the project per the statement of work, specifications and drawings, including anticipated asbestos abatement. Construction must not disrupt the continuous operation of the medical center and any utility interruptions must be carefully planned and approved in advance. The contract value is estimated between $5 million to $10 million and will be awarded using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable source selection process. The pre-solicitation notice does not require responses but alerts interested parties to monitor for the formal solicitation's release on or around March 23, 2021.
