Questions & Answers

Q.1 - Will the dispatch room be empty?

A.1 - No. One complete console (new) will have to be installed in the adjoining office space and be

“online” and working before the current dispatch center is dismantled. Continuity of communications for police is a must. Once the first new console is in and working, the old equipment can be moved from the dispatch center in order to set up the two additional consoles.

Q.2 - Is this a new building?

A.2 - No, it’s an existing building.

Q.3 - Will there be printers on the desks, or any other components besides the Dispatch Consoles?

A.3 - Up to four LCD Monitors will be on each of the three consoles along with keyboard/mouse. Other components should be in racks.

Q.4 - What warranty is desired for the desks?

A.4 - Minimum 3-year warranty on desks (consoles).

Q.5 - Any specific bells and whistles desired? Lighting, height adjustable, power, heating, a/c.

A.5 - Dispatch Consoles should be power adjustable, under counter style lighting; additional power strip for electronics will be needed on each console; the office is climate controlled so no additional heat/ac needed. No- static carpet (interlocking square type) for flooring.

Q.6 - What floor is the dispatch room located on?

A.6 - First floor. No steps into the dispatch room. Service elevator nearby for moving equipment.
