About this file

This document is an Amendment to a Solicitation for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) project titled "BB Install Continuous Water Quality for Legionella Directive Compliance" at the James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital in Tampa, FL. The amendment includes detailed responses to 61 Request for Information (RFI) questions covering various technical aspects of the water monitoring system installation, including device specifications, installation requirements, electrical connections, and project logistics. Key details include the use of ConCube V3 water monitoring devices to be installed in multiple buildings, wireless communication capabilities, and integration with the VA's BACnet system, with no commissioning required and VA Directive 1061 governing water quality monitoring standards.

The project involves installing continuous water quality monitoring devices at various locations within the hospital complex, with specific requirements for device placement, power connections, and communication protocols. Contractors can use devices from manufacturers other than Badger Meter as long as they meet or exceed current requirements and integrate into the Johnson Controls (JCI) system. The amendment clarifies staffing roles, allowing the project manager to serve as QA/QC and the superintendent to serve as SSHO, with specific restrictions on "triple hatting" roles. No additional ongoing services are included beyond the standard 1-year warranty, and the VA will handle future maintenance through a separate contract.
