About this file

This document is an Amendment to Solicitation 36C24825Q0607 for Chemical Water Treatment Services at two VA healthcare facilities in Florida. The solicitation is set aside exclusively for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses and covers chemical water treatment services for the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center in Bay Pines and Lee County Healthcare Center in Cape Coral. The amendment extends the solicitation response due date from July 10, 2025, to July 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM EDT, and includes detailed responses to 27 contractor questions about facility equipment, including specifics on cooling towers, chillers, boilers, water softeners, and current system configurations at both locations.

The solicitation is under NAICS code 221310 with a small business size standard of $41.0 Million, and requires vendors to be registered in SAM, VetCert, and DSBS databases. The amendment provides extensive technical details about each facility's water treatment infrastructure, including the number and specifications of pumps, chillers, boilers, and water treatment systems. Notably, the document reveals current water treatment practices, equipment rotation schedules, legionella testing frequencies, and make-up water sources for both locations. Contractors are required to provide comprehensive chemical water treatment services, with specific line items for cooling tower cleaning and maintenance.
