About this file
This document is a phasing amendment narrative for the VA Asheville Replace Fire/Smoke Dampers Project (Project #21121). The project involves replacing fire and smoke dampers across multiple levels of a VA medical facility, with work strategically divided into four distinct phases (A, B, C, and D) based on specific building wing and chase configurations. Each phase will focus on different mechanical systems and duct work, with ground floor work designated as Phase A, and subsequent phases targeting south, east, and west wing chases.
Critical project details include specific requirements for work timing and location, with first-floor and Staff Room A272 work mandated to occur after hours. Mechanical sheets (47-M-200 through 47-M-206) have been updated to reflect phasing notes for levels 0-5 and the roof, detailing the precise scope and timing for each area. The project is part of VA solicitation 36C24625B0002 for the Asheville, NC VA Medical Center, overseen by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 6, with a proposal request date of 03/06/2025.
