In the scope of work for areas 1 through 7, item 3 states: “Furnish and replace existing frie rated frames and double doors. These are currently held open by magnets attached to the fire Alarm System with new fire rated framed and double doors. These doors are being replaced in‐kind as they are damaged. Contractor is to field verify dimensions, hardware and devices and furnish and replace with new.” I checked all of them for any sticker information on the make and model as normally are placed on the door frames and door slabs but no one of them had any. Please provide information on the existing doors and frames and the hardware for us to be able to replace them in‐kind. The doors seemed to be fairly new, and I believe the VA in Brockton should have such information available for us.
The doors being replaced are original to building construction as shown in the photos provided during solicitation. It is possible the doors being referenced by this RFI are the newly installed cross corridor doors installed via a separate project. These doors are not being replaced.
