About this file

This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement form for Request for Proposal 26P02 issued by the Salt Lake City Public Library System in Utah. The form outlines compliance requirements for vendors seeking to contract with the Library to provide goods, services, supplies, information technology, or construction services for the Marmalade Branch Cladding Project. Vendors must certify that they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined under Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97), and must agree to maintain this compliance for the entire contract duration if awarded. The project involves comprehensive architectural cladding removal, cladding replacement, exterior patio resurfacing services, and waterproof membrane placement on the patio at the Marmalade Branch Library located at 280 W 500 N, Salt Lake City, UT 84103.

The form specifies that vendors may not engage in boycotts of the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture activities, companies involved in firearm manufacture or distribution, companies failing to meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws, or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries without ordinary business purpose. Vendors must sign and submit the completed form with their proposal response and agree to immediately notify the Library in writing if they subsequently engage in any such boycott during the contract period. This certification requirement applies to all vendors bidding on the project regardless of contract value or scope.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

26P02 Marmalade Branch Cladding

FORM 2

PUBLIC CONTRACT BOYCOTT

RESTRICTION STATEMENT

(To be submitted with proposal response)

In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Salt Lake City Public Library to provide any good or service—including supplies, information technology, or construction services—must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section.

Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded).

For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott:

● The State of Israel;

● Companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture;

● Companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms;

● Companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws;

● Companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries.

If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.

We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
