About this file

This is a demolition plan document for the Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) related to the removal of an elevated storage tank located at 101 Barnett Road, Forest Park, Georgia. The plan provides detailed site specifications for the demolition of a 0.5 million gallon elevated steel storage tank, including property boundaries, utility easements, equipment laydown areas, and access routes. The demolition work requires removal of the water tower to its foundation, with fill, drain, and overflow piping to be removed to the first mechanical joint situated in the ground vault below the riser. Concrete openings must be covered with half-inch thick aluminum diamond plate secured by stainless steel wedge anchors and sealed with exterior-grade silicone sealant. The contractor is required to remove fencing as needed for access, demolish any antenna or appurtenances on the tank, and ensure the roadway remains clear for CEMEX access outside active demolition hours. Equipment laydown and crane operations are restricted to designated hatched areas on the site plan.

The document specifies that the contractor must field verify tank dimensions and comply with specification sections 01 11 00 (Summary of Work) and 02 41 00 (Demolition) for all demolition requirements. The site is subject to permanent easements for CEMEX Southeast LLC and CCWA access, as well as temporary easements for construction activities. The plan was prepared by HDR Engineering, Inc., with project manager Kristina Yanosek, dated November 13, 2025, and assigned project number 10413963. No pricing information, set-asides, incumbent data, or funding sources are addressed in this technical demolition plan document.
