About this file

This document is an Alaska Bidder Preference Certification Form related to state procurement regulations. The form is designed for businesses seeking to qualify for Alaska bidder and veteran preferences when submitting bids or proposals to state agencies. Businesses must complete a series of detailed questions to demonstrate eligibility, including maintaining a six-month place of business in Alaska, holding a current Alaska business license, and meeting specific residency and ownership requirements.

The certification form provides two primary preference tracks: an Alaska Bidder Preference and an Alaska Veteran Preference. To qualify, businesses must provide detailed information about their business structure, residency status, and veteran ownership. For the Alaska Bidder Preference, companies must prove they are incorporated in Alaska, have a valid business license, maintain a state-based business location, and have at least one Alaska resident employee. The Alaska Veteran Preference requires businesses to be majority-owned by Alaska veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces or Alaska military units and been discharged under honorable conditions. Businesses must certify these details under penalty of law, with potential criminal penalties for misrepresentation.
