About this file

This is a specifications document for the Cory B. Wride Memorial Park Phase 2 project in Eagle Mountain, Utah, prepared by Langvardt Design Group for the City of Eagle Mountain. The document provides detailed technical specifications for facility water distribution piping, facility sanitary sewers, and storm drainage piping specialties required for the South Parking Lot Improvements project. The specifications cover materials, products, and installation requirements for underground piping systems including water mains, sanitary sewer lines, and storm drainage systems. The project includes site demolition, clearing and grubbing, removal of existing infrastructure, stripping and reuse of topsoil, site grading and earthwork, and implementation of erosion control measures. A bid bond equal to 5% of the total project cost is required with bidding documents, along with proof of insurance at bid submission and 100% performance and payment bonds at contract execution. Bids received after the scheduled closing time will not be considered, and results will be posted on Eaglemountaincity.com/purchasing with all vendors notified via email of bid outcomes.

The specifications establish quality assurance standards requiring piping materials and components to bear labels or markings from recognized testing agencies such as AWWA, ASTM, NSF, UL, and FMG. Products must comply with applicable standards for potable water service, fire-suppression service, and sanitary sewer systems. Installation requirements include minimum burial depths of 30 inches with 12 inches below maximum frost penetration, hydrostatic testing at not less than 1.5 times working pressure, and disinfection procedures for water piping using chlorine solutions. The document specifies numerous manufacturers and product options meeting minimum performance criteria, allowing contractor flexibility in material selection. Field quality control testing, inspection reports, and compliance documentation are required throughout installation. Specific sections detail valve applications, manhole installation, joint construction methods, backflow prevention, water meter installation, and connection procedures to existing utility systems coordinated with the utility company supplying water service.
