About this file

This is a Code of Conduct document issued by Richardson Independent School District (RISD) in Texas that establishes mandatory compliance requirements for all vendors, contractors, employees, agents, suppliers, and installers working on district school projects and properties. The code of conduct applies to the district's $1.4 billion Bond Program Management Services contract and establishes baseline expectations for professional behavior and safety protocols. All vendor personnel must check in with RISD representatives before entering sites, wear picture identification badges, and comply with prohibitions on tobacco products, drugs, and alcoholic beverages. Vendors are required to maintain professional and courteous conduct at all times, with RISD retaining sole discretion to determine violations and enforce immediate removal from sites for unacceptable behavior including physical or verbal intimidation, horseplay, or fighting.

The code of conduct mandates strict separation between vendor personnel and students, with all contact with students explicitly prohibited. Vendor employees must dress appropriately in work attire with proper footwear and required personal protective equipment, promptly leave campus at the end of work shifts, and comply with weapon-free zone regulations. All vendor personnel are required to submit to criminal background evaluations, and RISD prohibits engagement of any individual with pending charges or convictions related to offenses against children, sex offenses, crimes against persons involving weapons or violence, felony property offenses, or any other offense that could compromise student, staff, or property safety. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in contractor removal from school projects and contract termination.
