About this file
This document is a Bid Guarantee and related surety documents for a Removal and Disposal of Residuals Contract (Contract 25-0) issued by the Northwest Bergen County Utilities Authority. The contract seeks a contractor to perform residuals removal and disposal services, with bidders required to submit a comprehensive bid package including a bid bond, agreement of surety, and various corporate documentation. The bid documents outline strict requirements for bid submission, including the need for a bid guarantee in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to the Authority, with specific provisions that bidders must execute the contract within ten (10) days of award or risk forfeiture of their proposal guarantee.
The financial terms require bidders to demonstrate financial capacity and provide surety for multiple contract aspects, including 100% performance of the contract, protection of labor and material costs, and environmental compliance. The surety must cover full contract performance, with additional specific provisions for environmental remediation (either $25,000 or fifty percent of environmental bid items, whichever is greater). Bidders must also prove their qualifications by listing similar work performed in the past five years, provide details about their business entity, and demonstrate they are citizens of the United States. The documents emphasize strict compliance, warning that any deviation from the prescribed forms or requirements may result in bid rejection as non-conforming.
