About this file

This document is an Addendum from the University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) Materials Management Department for a Vendor for Surveillance Systems Maintenance Request for Proposal (RFP # 852-07-25-001). The addendum provides detailed responses to 19 vendor questions regarding the surveillance system maintenance contract. The system includes 565 cameras (16 analog and the rest IP), 25 servers/NVRs/DVRs, and over 50 uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). The cameras are currently on backup power supplies, and training will be conducted annually and upon new hires. Site surveys are possible based on availability, and the submitting vendor will be responsible for cabling.

Key details include that no AI is currently used in the system, the equipment ages vary, and new equipment additions will be at the discretion of the security leadership team. Emergencies will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the Security leadership team. The security team also maintains the LPR (License Plate Recognition) database. The vendor will need to conduct thorough assessments of storage requirements, equipment deficiencies, and existing equipment. Pricing submission format is left to the discretion of the submitting vendor, and the contract appears flexible regarding equipment modifications and potential future needs.
