About this file

This is an Insurance Requirements specification document issued by Collier County Board of County Commissioners, Procurement Services Division, in conjunction with the Information Technology Division for an Enterprise Asset Management Solution RFP in Florida. The document outlines comprehensive insurance and bonding requirements that all proposers must maintain throughout the contract period. Key insurance requirements include Workers' Compensation coverage in accordance with Florida Statutes Chapter 440 and federal requirements, Employer's Liability insurance with a $500,000 single limit per occurrence, Commercial General Liability (Occurrence Form) with $1,000,000 single limit per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, Automobile Liability with $500,000 per occurrence for owned/non-owned/hired vehicles, and Cyber Liability and Technology Errors & Omissions coverage each carrying $1,000,000 limits. Additional specialized coverages may be required depending on work scope, including Aircraft Liability ($5,000,000), Maritime Coverage ($5,000,000), and Professional Liability insurance. Collier County must be named as an Additional Insured on the Commercial General Liability policy, and all certificates of insurance must be submitted with 30 days cancellation notice and identify the Certificate Holder as Collier County Board of County Commissioners at 3295 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34112.

A Bid Bond equal to 5% of the cost proposal must be submitted with the proposal response. For projects exceeding $200,000, Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract award amount must be provided by the awarded proposer, with costs borne by the proposer and underwritten by a surety rated "A-" or better by A.M. Best Company and holding a Class V or higher financial size category rating. All subcontractors must comply with identical insurance requirements, and proposers must provide certificates of insurance demonstrating compliance. Collier County will procure and maintain Builders Risk Insurance on construction projects where deemed necessary, with premiums billed to the project rather than included in proposer proposals. Vendors accept these insurance requirements upon bid submission and must provide evidence of insurability within five business days of award notification.
