About this file

This document is an Offeror Questionnaire for Various Lead Acid Batteries issued by the City of Tucson, specifically targeting Fleet Services and Tucson Fire Maintenance departments. The questionnaire seeks detailed information from potential battery suppliers about their product specifications, inventory, delivery capabilities, and support services. Key requirements include batteries constructed with industry standard dimensions, flat top maintenance-free design with sealed caps, full frame positive and negative grid construction, and reinforced battery posts. Fleet Services will only consider maintenance-free batteries, while Tucson Fire Maintenance will accept both maintenance-free and non-maintenance-free batteries with water-adding capability.

The questionnaire comprehensively explores vendor capabilities, requesting information on current inventory value, manufacturer representations, product brands, delivery and storefront options, order tracking systems, technical support, product training, warranty details, and compliance with industry standards such as Battery Council International (BCI) and Society of Automotive Engineers International (SAE) standards. Vendors must also provide details on their quality assurance processes, product replacement policies, after-sales support, and ISO certification standards for manufacturing and recycling. The document appears designed to thoroughly evaluate potential battery suppliers' ability to meet the City of Tucson's specific operational needs across different municipal departments.
