About this file

This is an Insurance Requirements document for the Separated Shared Use Path (CIP#105636) project at North Perry Airport, issued by the Broward County Aviation Department in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The document establishes mandatory insurance coverage requirements that vendors and contractors must maintain throughout the project's execution. Key insurance requirements include General Liability with minimum limits of $3 million per occurrence and $3 million aggregate; Auto Liability with $1 million combined bodily injury and property damage coverage; Workers' Compensation at statutory limits; Employers Liability of $1 million per accident; and Pollution/Environmental Liability of $1 million if testing, investigation through digging or drilling, or hazardous materials handling occurs on airport property. Professional Liability coverage is required only for engineering, surveying, and design professionals. The County must be named as Certificate Holder and additional insured on all liability policies except Professional Liability, with 30 days' written notice required for policy cancellation and 10 days' notice for non-payment cancellations.

All vendor insurance must provide primary coverage with no contribution required from the County, and vendors are responsible for all coverage deductibles unless otherwise specified. Claims-made policies for Pollution/Environmental Liability must include a two-year Extended Reporting Period with a maximum deductible of $25,000. Self-insured retention amounts must be declared to and approved by the County, potentially requiring proof of financial ability to cover losses. The insurance requirements apply to the contractor and all subcontractors performing work on the separated shared use path development and construction project at North Perry Airport.
