About this file

This document is an addendum to an invitation to bid for the construction of the CBJTC Museum Storage Facility, Building 3016, at the Camp Blanding Joint Training Center in Starke, Florida. The project involves the repair and renovation of an existing 1940 wood-frame building, removing the existing structure down to the foundation in order to construct a new 3,000-square-foot, climate-controlled storage facility for sensitive artifacts for the Camp Blanding Museum. The existing concrete slab, pads, and foundations will be retained and modified as needed. The new structure will have dedicated storage areas, a hallway, latrine, and mechanical/electrical rooms. Exterior finishes will be pre-finished metal wall and roof panels. The bid opening is scheduled for June 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM. The Construction Contractor is responsible for obtaining necessary building permits, except for the Fire Marshal permit which is handled by the state.

The estimated construction cost is $807,239.00. The project is being managed by the Florida Army National Guard's Construction & Facility Management Office. Contractors and workers will need to undergo background checks prior to accessing the site. Recycling facilities are available on-site, and the project requires compliance with Clay County permitting processes, which may involve third-party plan review and inspection to expedite the permitting.
