4. International Electrical Code

5. International Fire Code

6. International Mechanical Code

7. International Plumbing Code

8. Model Energy Code, ASHRAE Standard 90.1

C. These regulations are considered a part of the specifications and shall prevail should they differ with plans and specifications. Prior to bid submission, the Contractors should direct the Engineer's attention to the difference. Should the Contractor not so notify the Engineer, the Contractor shall fully comply without claim for extra costs.

1.8 DRAWINGS

A. Drawings: Because of the small scale of the drawings, it is not possible to indicate all offsets, fittings, and accessories that may be required. The Contractor shall carefully investigate the plumbing, fire protection, electrical, structural and finish conditions that would affect the work to be performed and shall arrange such work accordingly, furnishing required ductwork offsets, fittings, and accessories to meet such conditions.

B. Design Concepts: The Drawings indicate capacities, sizes, and dimensional requirements of system components and are based on the specific types, manufacturers, and models indicated.

1. Components having equal performance characteristics by other manufacturers may be considered provided that deviations in dimensions, operation, and other characteristics are minor and do not change the design concept or intended performance as judged by the Architect. The burden of proof of equality of products is on the proposer.

2. Any changes to other Sections or Contractors shall be the burden of the proposer and shall be coordinated as such with all other disciplines.

3. Refer to Section 012500 "Substitution Requirements."
