About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation 6973GH-26-R-00181 addressing the South Florida Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) Relocation Project. The document clarifies procurement requirements for a fully integrated Haworth furniture solution for a 53,174 square-foot facility accommodating 318 personnel across three floors at 1600 Southwest 80th Terrace, Plantation, Florida. The solicitation is open to vendors capable of meeting requirements with Haworth products and is not restricted to Haworth dealers only, though equivalent manufacturer proposals are not permitted due to mandatory integration with lessor-installed Haworth Enclose demountable wall systems, pre-approved furniture layouts calibrated to Haworth dimensional standards, and fixed project schedule constraints. The proposal deadline was extended to August 21, 2026, at 4:00 PM Central Standard Time.
Key requirements include commercial/government-grade seating with minimum 300-pound weight capacity, ANSI/BIFMA compliance, 10-year commercial warranties, and readily available replacement parts. Task seating must include ergonomic adjustability, back/lumbar support, adjustable armrests, and tilt/recline functionality. Lounge seating should incorporate acoustical-friendly features for reception areas, elevator lobbies, and collaboration spaces. Additional requirements include lateral files at all indicated locations, two single monitor arms per workstation, power/data modules in all conference tables, FAA-branded signage, and populated floor plans as part of submissions. The Government will coordinate final product selections, finishes, fabrics, and specifications after award. Delivery and installation are anticipated during standard FAA business hours, with detailed scheduling to be developed post-award in coordination with the Aerospace Project Manager (APM-300) and applicable trades.
