About this file
This is a sanitary sewer bypass specification document prepared for the Solano County Justice Campus Asset Protection project, developed by project manager KSN, Inc. and project engineer Baumbach & Piazza, Inc. The specification outlines requirements for a temporary sewer bypass system, requiring the contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to install, operate, and maintain the bypass pumping system and pipelines as detailed on plan sheet SS-1. The work includes complete site restoration encompassing backfilling, grassing, sodding, and routine site restoration activities. The contractor must perform work in accordance with Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District Standards and comply with applicable City, District, County, State, and Federal regulations and environmental requirements. All submittals, preparation, and general execution requirements are referenced to the Sanitary Sewer Bypass Provisions shown on plan sheet SS-1.
Compensation for this work is provided on a lump sum price basis, with the single price covering all costs associated with installing and operating bypass pumping systems and pipelines, including all labor, materials, tools, transportation, disposal, supplies, equipment, appurtenances, and incidentals. Items not explicitly covered in the bid schedule are to be included in the costs for other bid items. The specification does not delineate specific pricing terms, set-asides, or funding sources within this document alone, though the related Justice Campus Asset Protection project is federally funded through FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance programs and subject to Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage requirements.
