About this file
This is a Sanitary Sewer Bypass Specification document for the Solano County Justice Campus Asset Protection project, managed by KSN, Inc., with project engineering by Baumbach & Piazza, Inc. The specification details the temporary sewer bypass system requirements, including the installation and operation of bypass pumping systems and temporary pipelines as depicted on plan sheet SS-1. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the complete installation, operation, and maintenance of the temporary sewer bypass system. The work includes full site restoration upon completion, encompassing backfilling, grassing, sodding, and routine site restoration activities. All work must comply with Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District Standards and the Sanitary Sewer Bypass Provisions outlined on plan sheet SS-1, as well as applicable City, District, County, State, and Federal environmental regulations and codes.
Compensation for the sewer bypass work is provided on a lump sum basis, with the single price covering all aspects of system installation, operation, and maintenance, including all labor, materials, tools, transportation, and disposal costs. The specification indicates that items not specifically covered in the Bid Schedule shall be included in the cost of other line items, ensuring comprehensive pricing without additional claims. While specific contract award dates, performance schedules, and funding sources are not detailed in this specification document alone, the project is part of the broader Solano County Justice Campus Asset Protection initiative. Contractors must maintain compliance with all applicable prevailing wage, bonding, and insurance requirements as established by the overall project procurement documents.
