About this file
This is a Price Schedule document submitted in response to Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Request for Bid 2026-959 for goat browsing services at Minnewaska Native Prairie Bank. The project involves reducing woody brush and increasing native prairie and Wet Meadow/Carr plant diversity across 45 acres in Pope County near Glenwood, Minnesota over two years. The scope of work includes goat browsing, woody removal, and herbicide treatments. Bidders must provide pricing for mobilization of a minimum of 60 goats, electric fencing setup and maintenance across two seasons, four browsing events, and woody removal and treatment activities in both Year 1 and Year 2. An optional exclusion paddock fee may be required if necessary during the contract period. All responses must be submitted electronically through the Swift Portal, with the solicitation deadline extended through July 29, 2026. Site visits can be arranged by contacting Project Supervisor Joe Walton at 218-608-8553 or Joseph.walton@state.mn.us. The event has been amended by Addendum #1, and vendors must respond to the latest version or risk bid rejection.
Bidders must submit all pricing as flat-rate costs that include labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to complete the work to specified standards. The price schedule requires itemized bids for six components: mobilization (4 units), electric fencing per season (2 units), browsing events (4 units), Year 1 woody removal and treatment (1 unit), Year 2 woody removal and treatment (1 unit), and exclusion paddock fee (1 unit, not included in total bid calculation). The award will be made to the lowest responsible vendor meeting all specifications and terms and conditions, with the State reserving the right to award items separately, by grouping, or by total as deemed most advantageous. Direct Pay Permit 1114 does not apply to this project.
