About this file

This document provides guidance on table setting for cadet mess services at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. It includes detailed instructions for 15-piece formal place settings as well as configurations for head tables, banquet-style seating with name cards, and pre-meal self-serve areas. Table diagrams show visual placements for flatware, stemware and other items under plates or in typical family-style service. The related opportunity solicits proposals for non-personal mess attendant and waiter services at the USMA cadet mess hall, involving provision of all labor, materials and supervision to support meal services as required. The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Eustis will award any resultant contract.
