About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 issued by TowerPinkster for the West Elementary Media Center Renovation project at Kelloggsville Public Schools in Grand Rapids, MI. The project involves renovating the media center, computer lab, and surrounding rooms, as well as demolishing a stage to create a new storage room. The project is split into four bid categories: General Trades, Flooring, Mechanical, and Electrical. A pre-bid meeting was held on January 22, 2019, with bids due February 6, 2019 at 3:30pm. Post-bid interviews are scheduled for February 11, 2019. Construction is planned to begin June 7, 2019 with substantial completion by August 23, 2019.

The addendum includes specifications for solid surfacing fabrications, door hardware updates, and visual display units. Notable clarifications include removal of Alternate #1 (EIFS with metal siding), updates to door hardware specifications to show 4 sets instead of 18, and assignment of added specifications 06 6116 and 10 1100 to Bid Category 1 - General Trades. Key technical updates include lintel sizes for borrowed lights and doors, clarification that Door 115A is wood with hollow metal frame, and confirmation that borrowed lights require double bullnose CMU sills. The project does not require prevailing wages. Temporary facilities will be provided, and existing electrical and water services will be available for contractor use.
