About this file
This is a Scope of Work and Technical Specifications document for Salt Lake City Corporation's solicitation of a 500-gallon chemical injection skid, outlined in procurement SLCI26065. The specification details a comprehensive chemical injection system with a 500-gallon elliptical white polyethylene main water tank featuring a 16-inch opening, anti-siphon fill system, and anti-surge tank baffles. The system requires two 30-gallon poly cone-bottom chemical tanks with three-way calibration valves, low-level sensors, and 2-speed agitation capabilities. The spray equipment shall include an NSC-20108-V2 Boomless nutating seven-section spray head or city-approved equivalent, solid brass nozzles, cab-controlled 30-degree tilt and 90-degree swing functionality, a nine-section solenoid-regulator with QD connections, and a Norstar RS600-TASC 6300 mechanical cab control system or equivalent. The skid must be equipped with two TeeJet MT 500 peristaltic pumps with .05-350 ounces per minute output, a 9HP Honda GX-270 clutch-driven Hypro centrifugal water pump or city-approved equal, and cab-controlled start/stop with flow meter and ground speed radar capabilities. Additional requirements include an NSC-90500 hose reel with 150 feet of hose and electric rewind, skid-mounted adjustable spray bar, forklift receiver pockets, and NSC-90157 two-tank closed chemical loading system. Equipment shall be shipped to 3851 W 1200 N, Salt Lake City, Utah 84116, with delivery training provided for all operators and technicians.
The bidder must specify warranty term and hours in the response, with the document noting a typical minimum of 12 months after equipment receipt. Training requirements include instruction on all operations at delivery and provision of comprehensive maintenance, operation, and parts manuals via electronic USB stick. The document contains internal review comments requesting clarification on tank specifications, valve quantities, spray head specifications, plumbing connections, maintenance kit requirements, hose reel materials, and industry terminology, indicating the specification was in draft review stage at the time of document preparation. No pricing information, set-asides, incumbent contractors, funding sources, or contract term renewal options are specified in this technical specifications document.
