About this file
This is a Scope of Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) School Safety and Student Services teams for a vendor fair scheduled for September 10, 2026. The RFI seeks information on products and services available in seven key areas: behavior support systems (including discipline support and threat assessment), building construction and design (locks and window security film), bullying prevention, mental health supports, protective factors, technology systems (audio, intercom systems, two-way radios, and visitor management), and transportation safety. Vendors may register for one 15-minute presentation slot during the virtual Zoom event, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and includes setup, presentation, and question-and-answer time. Time slots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to first-time presenters. Presentations are attended by members of the School Safety Center, Student Services and Prevention teams, USBE staff, and collaborative stakeholders.
This RFI is informational only and will not result in a contract or purchase. Cost cannot be discussed during presentations or registration communications, and intentional violation of this requirement may result in ineligibility for future solicitations. Repeat product presentations will not be scheduled within one year of the last presentation. Follow-up meetings are not permitted. Shaleece Oldroyd serves as the point of contact for all vendor-related inquiries and coordination. This process does not establish USBE-approved vendor status, as no formal approval process currently exists. Vendors should register using the provided Qualtrics form and direct all questions to shaleece.oldroyd@schools.utah.gov.
