The integral system consists of air terminals mounted directly to the facility or structure to be protected, down conductors and a grounding system. The mast system consists of an air terminal (lightning rod) on a mast, down conductors and an earth electrode subsystem. The catenary system (overhead wires) consists of one or more overhead wires strung between masts and connected to a grounding system. LEMC uses a variety of all the mentioned systems in the docks, buildings and igloos. The requirement is that all the active LPS in LEMC is tested at least once per year, and the repairs will be listed as routine. A repair shall need to be scheduled within 48 hours of report.

This entire PWS will be monitored by the LEMC Contracts Manager (CM), Monica Dean or the LEMC TPOC, Jeffery Mccrady.
