About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI 475215) issued by a federal agency seeking to identify potential suppliers of a helium-water heat exchanger system. The RFI does not establish a binding procurement contract but rather solicits information to assess market capabilities and inform future acquisition planning.
The inquiry targets companies with manufacturing, assembly, and testing capabilities for shell and tube heat exchangers designed for water cooling of helium gas or similar applications. Respondents must address eight specific technical and administrative requirements: demonstrated experience and capabilities in this product category; ability to meet ASME BPVC Section VIII standards with U-stamp certification and achieve a water-to-helium side leak rate specification of 10-9 Torr-L/s; U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities; rough order of magnitude pricing; typical fabrication and delivery schedules; domestic end product compliance status per FAR 25.101(a) or country of origin identification if manufactured outside the United States; commercial product status per FAR 2.101; and SAM.gov registration status with Unique Entity Identification (UEI) number. The RFI contains no response deadline, award information, pricing terms, set-asides, or other transactional details typical of formal solicitations.
