About this file
This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement (Attachment B) required by the Jordan School District for vendors bidding on an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Intercom Additions at multiple locations. The document is based on Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) and mandates that all vendors contracting with the District must certify they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or a "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined in the applicable state code. Vendors must also commit to refraining from engaging in either type of boycott throughout the contract period if awarded. The statement provides specific examples of prohibited boycotts, including boycotts of the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture activities, firearm manufacturers or distributors, companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond state and federal requirements, and companies that do not provide access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. Vendors must sign and date the certification statement, providing their company name, printed name, and the solicitation name and number.
Vendors who discover they are engaged in a boycott covered by the restriction must immediately notify the District in writing. The certification requirement applies to all goods and services provided to the Jordan School District, including supplies, information technology, and construction services. There are no pricing, set-aside, or funding details contained in this attachment, as it functions solely as a compliance certification document required as part of the bidding process for the intercom project.

Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement Attachment B
(Revised 09/10/2024)
ATTACHMENT B
Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement
In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.
We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
