About this file

This Anti-Human Trafficking Affidavit is a required compliance document for vendors responding to Broward County's solicitation for shade cover replacements at various Parks and Recreation Division locations throughout Florida. The affidavit must be submitted with the vendor's proposal or within three business days of the County's request, and failure to comply may result in the vendor being deemed nonresponsive. The document requires vendors to certify under penalty of perjury that they do not use coercion for labor or services as defined in Florida Statute Section 787.06, and must be signed by an authorized representative with their printed name, title, and date.

The affidavit serves as a mandatory certification requirement for the fixed-price contract opportunity that involves providing all labor, equipment, services, and incidentals necessary for purchasing and installing replacement shade covers at multiple park locations. Vendors must submit their responses electronically through the BPRO system and are subject to County/State licensing requirements and Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) requirements, including Small Business Enterprise (SBE) reserve considerations. The County provides a structured question and answer period through BPRO for vendors to seek clarification on solicitation requirements before the submission deadline.
