About this file
This is a Domestic Partnership Act Certification form from Broward County, Florida, required for vendors bidding on state and local contract opportunities. The form relates to the Shade Cover Replacements procurement for Broward County Parks and Recreation Division, which seeks vendors to provide all labor, equipment, and services for purchasing and installing replacement shade covers at various park locations through a fixed contract. Vendors must submit responses electronically through BPRO (Broward Procurement) and are encouraged to submit questions for clarification during the designated period.
The certification form implements Broward County's Domestic Partnership Act requirements for contracts exceeding $100,000, mandating that vendors provide benefits to registered domestic partners of employees on the same basis as spousal benefits. Vendors must certify their compliance status by selecting one of several options: current compliance, future compliance at contract award, non-compliance, or qualification for specific exceptions including small businesses with fewer than five employees, entities that don't provide spousal benefits, governmental/non-profit organizations, religious organizations, those providing cash equivalents, or those prevented by federal/state law conflicts. The form serves dual purposes as both a responsiveness requirement and potential tiebreaker criterion, with strict submission deadlines affecting vendor eligibility for the domestic partnership tiebreaker advantage.
