About this file
This is a Proprietary Information disclosure document from the City of Arlington, Texas, Office of Procurement pertaining to a Request for Proposals for Maintenance and Repair of Vertical Turbine Pumps. The document establishes the framework for vendors to identify confidential or proprietary information within their proposal submissions. The solicitation seeks a qualified vendor capable of providing routine maintenance, emergency repair services, and complete pump remanufacture to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) tolerances. The City of Arlington encourages electronic submission of proposals through its Bonfire platform and requires that any paper proposals be submitted in sealed envelopes labeled with the company name, solicitation number, and title. Late proposals will not be accepted, and the City accepts no responsibility for notifications received through means other than the official Bonfire system.
All materials submitted to the City become public property subject to the Texas Public Information Act upon receipt. Vendors must clearly mark proprietary information with the word "PROPRIETARY" in all capital letters highlighted in yellow on the bottom center of each relevant page at the time of submission. The City will protect such information to the extent allowed by law, though final disclosure decisions rest with the Texas Attorney General. Importantly, pricing information may not be marked as proprietary and will be made publicly available in a bid/proposal tab following review of all submissions. Failure to properly identify proprietary information will result in unmarked sections being deemed non-proprietary and available upon public request.
