About this file
This document is a Vendor Questions and Answers file for a U.S. Consulate Chennai solicitation (191N6025Q0005) for supply and installation of exhaust fans at a consulate office building. The solicitation targets local vendors in Chennai, India, with a mandatory site visit on July 02, 2025, and quote submission deadline of July 11, 2025 at 3:00 PM IST. Key vendor questions addressed electrical specifications (110V single-phase and 208V three-phase motors), project timeline, installation logistics, and work conditions, with the consulate providing clarifications about fan specifications, installation requirements, and work access.
Critical details include the consulate's requirements for vendors to have local service support, weekend work permissions (Saturdays allowed), and a scope limited to exhaust fan supply and installation. The project involves piece-by-piece fan replacement with considerations for existing duct systems and ventilation requirements. Vendors must complete a technical evaluation form, NDAA compliance form, and submit quotes electronically to specific email contacts, with the understanding that work may involve intermittent access and coordination with building tenants during installation.
