1. On page 28 of the project plans, specifically the Sediment Removal Notes – Note 3; describes handling existing vegetation on the vegetated islands within the river channel. This note discusses the removal and transplanting of willows and cottonwoods. There is not a specification section for this activity. Is the Contractor responsible for completing the transplanting of vegetation (i.e. willows and cottonwoods, etc.)? If so, how is this work measured (quantified)? How will this work be paid for? Please provide clarification.
Note 3 has been revised. Notes 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 have been deleted.
2. Regarding Specification - Aggregate Road Surfacing, Section 32.15.00 - Part 3.5 Installation, Paragraph B – “Place the material on the prepared subgrade or subbase in layers of uniform thickness with a compliance confirmed spreader.” Can you please provide additional information on what would be considered a “compliance confirmed spreader”?
Specification Section will be revised. There is no requirement for a specific type of spreader.
4. Similar to the above described question – There is not a CLIN for the Galvanized Steel Angle. Is this an oversight, or should this be considered as incidental to CLIN 004 Concrete End Walls?
This item is incidental to CLIN 004 Concrete End Walls.
6. The unit for CLINs 002 and 006 show a unit of “CD”. Not sure of this unit. Should this be Cubic Yards or “CY”?
Unit to be changed to CY via amendment.
