The Broward County Aviation Department (BCAD) is initiating a comprehensive Airport Safety Assessment at North Perry Airport (HWO) as part of its commitment to proactive safety management and community engagement. This initiative is intended to identify and address potential safety risks associated with airport operations, infrastructure, and airspace usage, while fostering a culture of safety and collaboration among stakeholders.

Project Overview

North Perry Airport is a high-activity general aviation airport located in Pembroke Pines, Florida, surrounded by residential communities. The airport supports a wide range of aviation activities, including flight training, banner towing, and maintenance operations.

Given its operational complexity and community interface, BCAD seeks a qualified firm to assess current safety conditions and recommend strategies for improvement.

• Assess compatibility of airport operations with surrounding residential communities.

• Facilitate stakeholder engagement to ensure transparency and community involvement.

• Deliver a final Safety Assessment Report with actionable recommendations.

3. Evaluation of airfield and airspace conditions, including capacity, navigational procedures, and operational patterns.

5. Development of a final report that includes findings, analysis, and prioritized recommendations.

BCAD encourages innovative approaches that incorporate best practices, data-driven analysis, and community-sensitive solutions.
