General Terms and Conditions
1.1 BACKGROUND
Over the last Ten (10) years, Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) has built a Cisco-based Video telepresence (VTC) and Unified communications (UC) solutions infrastructure that is not only utilized by MSHA personnel for daily communication, training, and remote disaster response, but also supports a growing number of Department of Labor (DOL) agencies to support their interaction with MSHA and other entities utilizing Telepresence communication technologies. MSHA now has a requirement to sustain and enhance MSHA capabilities while also enabling other Department of Labor program agencies standardized and cost effective access to Telepresence and UC capabilities as well as other interior facility needs such as Information Technology, Audio Visual, Security, and Furniture Fixtures & Equipment. Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) seeks a qualified contractor to build upon and extend their current Cisco-based video telepresence and IP Voice capabilities.
