About this file
This is Addendum 1 to an Invitation to Bid issued by the Oregon Department of Corrections Purchasing Section for project S-29100-00014106, a TRCI Warehouse Cooler/Freezer Upgrade. The addendum modifies the original bid specifications through six revisions and clarifications regarding project scope and construction requirements. Key modifications include a revision requiring the contractor to demolish the existing pad and construct a new pad extending a minimum of 36 inches on all sides of compressor racks, with exact positioning to be coordinated with ODOC staff. The addendum clarifies that the contractor will demo the existing fence and replace it with new fencing surrounding the new pad according to attached specifications. Additional clarifications confirm that the owner will provide temporary cooling equipment during the equipment replacement phase, provide contact information for Omni Team equipment and Schulz Associates, permit temporary removal and replacement of food racking to access evaporator coils, and include attached details for concrete slab and chain link fence construction specifications.
The addendum represents a material change to the original ITB and requires bidder signature and return by the bid closing date, with failure to comply potentially resulting in bid rejection. The liquidated damages amount has been revised to $2,066.00. Detailed fencing specifications require eight-foot-tall chain link fabric with two-inch woven diamond mesh of number 9 gauge steel wire, hot-dipped zinc-coated steel components meeting ASTM A120 and A123 standards, concrete post foundations with minimum 3,000 PSI compressive strength, proper spacing of wire ties and stretcher bars at 15-inch intervals, and fabric stretched taut with bottom extending to within two inches of finished grade. The concrete slab specifications and additional technical requirements are provided in attached detail drawings.
