26. Drawing 1335-D-61160, DC & UPS Single Line Diagram: Drawing shows the Battery
Disconnect Switch ‘BAC’ being fed from Motor Control Center 00-MCC-002 but the Compartment Schedule for 00-MCC-02 shown on page 8 of Spec Section 26-24-19 does not show a breaker for this load. Please provide breaker size.
A: The size of the circuit breaker for the battery system will depend on the rating of the battery charger supplied with the battery system, supplied under specifications Section 26 33 46. As required by this Section, it is the responsibility of the battery system supplier to perform sizing calculations for the battery system.
27. Drawing 1335-D-61160 – Water Treatment Plant DC & UPS Electrical Single Line Diagram shows Service Entrance Switchgear SES and Main Switchboard SAA as being fed from 125VDC Switchboard BAA however, no other information is given on these two pieces of electrical equipment. What is the voltage and amperage for this equipment?
A: The requirements are as follows:
Service Entrance Switchgear SES: Specifications Section 26 14 14 Main Switchboard DSA: Specifications Section 26 24 13 125 VDC Switchboard BAA: Specifications Section 26 33 48
28. Drawing 1335-D-61161 – Electrical, Equipment Layout – Level 01 shows equipment KP-
010 however, it is unclear what this equipment is. Please clarify.
A: KP-010 is the transformer supplying panel LP-010.
29. Can a cable schedule be provided?
A: No.
30. Please provide a single line for all MCCs.
A: All information for the MCCs is available in tables located in specifications Section 26 24 19 - 600V Motor Control Centers.
31. Can a division of responsibility matrix be provided?
A: No.
32. Air Stripper PLCs: Are those supposed to be manufacturer provided PLCs? They are missing the note 2 denotation on the network diagram.
A: The air strippers are not government-furnished equipment. Refer to specifications Section 46 40 10 - Air Stripper Equipment. Contractor will provide the air strippers as part of this contract. It is up to the contractor to determine how they would like to procure the air strippers, whether the contractor would like to purchase the air strippers with PLCs from the air stripper supplier, or have those controls supplied with the rest of the facility controls by that subcontractor, or some other subcontractor or supplier.
33. Are the “Control Room Workstations” shown on the network diagram, the same as the
“Engineering Workstations” called out in the 25 00 01 document? If not, what are the specs for “Control Room Workstations”?
A: Yes, the Engineering Workstations are required to be located in the control room in specifications Section 25 00 01, Paragraph 2.03 A.
34. Are there specs for thin client machines?
A: Servers provided for the project shall meet the requirements of specifications Section 25 00 01, Paragraph 2.08. Thin client management software shall meet the requirements of specifications Section 25 00 01, Paragraph 2.10 B.
35. Acceptable devices for modbus comms where called for? Do they have to be 1756 rack mounted devices such as prosoft, or can they be external device in CPLs such as a RedLion or other comms gateway?
A: Refer to specifications Section 25 00 01, Paragraph 2.07 F. and 2.24 B for the requirements.
