About this file
This document contains answers to questions submitted for the solicitation to replace a water supply line at Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The existing lines can be turned off for tie-in portions for up to two days depending on time of year. Lodging will be available at nearby RV parks and motels managed by a concessionaire, though contractors should contact the concessionaire regarding operational status. Plan sheets C02 and C03 provide details on existing and replacement valves. A new bypass valve location is shown on sheet C15 in an approximate location in the desert. The termination point of replacement C900 PVC pipe is detailed on sheet C15 from Amendment 1. There are no as-built records of existing transite pipe locations. As-builts are available for preexisting lines to storage tanks but not those following the main road. Previous past performance evaluations can be used for this solicitation.
