About this file
This specification document outlines requirements for an ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer (EPDM) roofing system. Key details include mechanically fastened EPDM membrane roofing over insulation and substrate board. The project requires white EPDM membrane and sheet metal flashing for all roof locations in climate zones 3 and 4. Insulation must be polyisocyanurate or wood fiberboard with minimum R-values. The roofing system must meet wind uplift resistance standards and be FM Approvals listed. The contractor must provide a 20-year warranty on materials and workmanship. Relatedly, the federal contract opportunity is to remove an existing HVAC unit at a visitor center and replace it with a new geothermal fluid cooler, natural gas boiler, ductless split heat pumps, and energy recovery ventilators near an existing maintenance building.
