About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal solicitation 140P512R0010 regarding HVAC upgrades at Mammoth Cave National Park in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky.

The document clarifies five key points from the solicitation and Statement of Work. NATE certification for HVAC technicians is not required. All permits and licenses specified in the SOW and solicitation must be obtained by the contractor. Performance and Payment bonds are required at 100% of the contract price and must be submitted within 10 calendar days of award receipt. Regarding equipment specifications, SRM #2 requires a 5-ton (propane) LP/electric packaged unit, clarifying a discrepancy in the SOW where the system was listed as 4-ton split system but the equipment model number indicated a 5-ton packaged rooftop unit. This distinction is critical as it represents significantly different scopes of work and equipment costs.
