Q2: The FP drawings show the FDC being located on the addition. We could save a considerable amount of underground piping (and associated costs) by locating it on the main building instead, would this be permitted?

A. No, the addition was chosen to reduce impact to the historic structure.

Q3: Who is providing the tap for the fire connection to the main water supply?

A. The contractor shall provide this tap in coordination with AQUA.

Q4: We would like to clarify if OPTION D is still a part of this solicitation. It appears like the foundation and below is covered under OPTION D and anything above that would fall under OPTION E which is not in this solicitation.

A. Correct, the foundation Option D is part of this solicitation. Option E is being solicited by a Park partner.

Q5: Will monitoring and/or archeologist visits be required for any ground disturbing activities?

A. Yes.

Q6: Are we required to provide mortar testing/analysis on all masonry joint?

A. Not all. Three (3) samples will be required and the Parks Preservationist will choose the acceptable sample locations.

Q7: Do we have to acquire any permits through the local city or county?

A. Any Hazardous material work requires notifications, and potentially permits, through

State, County, and/or Local authorities.
