About this file
This document contains a question and response matrix for a federal solicitation to replace electrical distribution systems at three locations within Yosemite National Park. The solicitation seeks firm fixed price proposals to remove and replace underground conduits and wiring, install new electrical panels and fixtures, and perform related site work. Offerors must price the contract appropriately without price adjustments. Construction must accommodate occupied facilities, with limited parallel activities and one-week shutdowns for groups of four cabins. The contractor will be responsible for temporary relocation of non-permanent items and coordination of occupant notifications. All excavated materials and waste must be removed from the park. Tribal monitoring will be conducted during the project.

This will be at the discretion of the offeror. Offerors should develop proposals based on their proposed means and methods and other factors they determine are relevant to the project.
2 How shall we approach price increases in material for each phase?
Any resultant contract from this solicitation will be issued as a Firm Fixed Price contract without any price redeterminations. Offerors should price the contract appropriately.
Since we cannot know exact lengths of pipe and wire until work is started, will NPS compensate for price increases in materials?
