About this file
This document provides an overview of project requirements for the stabilization of the Ellis Island Seawall under solicitation number 140P2020R0027 from the National Park Service. The project will require a detailed phasing plan to minimize impacts to visitor experience and service interruptions at the park. Work may take place seven days a week between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, subject to limitations on deliveries and access through US Park Police security. Restrictions include no work on federal holidays or at night without approval. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining short-term park IDs for staff requiring temporary access, coordinating truck and barge deliveries in advance, and restricting work to designated zones only. An archaeological monitor will observe excavations in sensitive areas. Required permits may include stormwater pollution prevention and MS4 stormwater permits from the local soil conservation district as well as dewatering permits from NJDEP.
