Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield
CCTV Surveillance Camera Installation
Scope of Work
The Contractor shall remove and install video surveillance cameras and run Cat6a wiring per Manufacturer’s guidelines, codes, and these specifications.
Contractor shall install or replace thirty two (32) security cameras in the visitor center and library at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield. Twenty four (24) cameras will be installed in the interior.
This work will include removing all existing camera, providing the mounting bases, mounting the new cameras and running wiring from the cameras to the server room (Maintenance Room 109). The Cat6a wiring can be ran above any drop ceiling, not in conduit, as long as the wiring is out of sight. In any rooms where there is not a drop ceiling, conduit will be connected to the mounting bracket and the Cat6a wiring ran inside the conduit. The conduit can terminate once it reaches an area with a drop ceiling, or the server room. The contractor will provide the correct mounting bracket based on manufacturers recommendation for the ceiling type. Eight (8) cameras will be replaced on the exterior of the building. All of the exterior cameras are existing and will require no additional holes to be drilled into the building. The contractor will remove the existing cameras, mounting brackets and wiring. The contractor will provide the proper mounting brackets for these locations, install the new cameras and run the wiring back to the server room. For all cameras on the Visitor Center side of the building, the wiring will be ran to a home-run conduit in the mechanical room (Room 134) that directly connects to the server room (Room 109).
All wiring used for this project will be Cat6a. The contractor will install RJ-45 connectors at each end of the cable. One end will be plugged into the camera by the contractor during installation. The other end will terminate in the server room, with enough length to reach the designated server, plus three (3) additional feet.
The contractor will not responsible for installing any software on the cameras or server, making the final connections at the server, set-up or testing. The contractor will be responsible for labelling each wire that terminates in the server room with its corresponding camera name.
The cameras to be purchased by the National Park Service and provided to the contractor are Axis M3106-L Mk2 for the interior and Axis M3106-LVE Mk 2 for the exterior.
Minimum Expectations:
a. All outdoor cameras will be in weather proof housings.
b. Camera mounting must be aesthetically pleasing and must meet Building Codes and Fire Codes (i.e., fire stop is used, no open holes left in bricks, roofs, etc.).
c. All system wiring shall be Cat6a and shall be in compliance with applicable national codes and standards.
d. All system wiring shall be concealed, where possible. When the cameras are mounted in an area with a drop ceiling the wiring can be ran in the open space above the drop ceiling. If the cameras are mounted in an area with a fixed ceiling then the wiring will be ran in conduit, either all the way back to the server room or to a location accessed by a drop ceiling.
