Chain shall include cable separators and cross pieces containing cable within chain with a “snap fit” action. Allow cables to be accessed from top of chain when necessary or during installation. Chain shall be sized to handle (1) 4 conductor power cable with PUR jacket, and cables required for cameras mounted to crane. Provide power and control voltage to moving trolley and hoist by means of festoon cable system. Power and control cables shall be carried from trolleys with 4 steel wheels running in track suspended off bridge girder running full length of crane span.

Optical Fiber Cable: Provide two independent cables, each containing 12 strands of single mode optical fiber (12SM) of adequate length to fusion splice to house fiber near the start of the energy chain (in the middle of the overall 400’ run), to run the entire distance of the overhead crane energy chain, and to run the full length of the bridge crane in the C channel cable support (not in the trolley energy chain) with adequate length for service loops on each end. Proposed length of the two optical fiber cables are four hundred feet (400’) each. This length comes from (for documentation) 50’ on the house end for splicing, 200’ for the main energy chain travel distance, 80’ for the bridge crane length, 50’ for the far end slack loop, and an additional 20’ to cover any unknown circumstances (can be absorbed in the slack loop at the house splice point).
